Why I like all three frontrunners.
I want to first say I really like both John Edwards and Barack Obama a whole lot. And I like Hillary Clinton a lot, and find myself beginning to soften up to the idea of nominee Hillary--if thats what our great party decides to go with. I've always said I would support her if she got the nomination, and geniunely like her, but I said Presidentially she wasn't my cup of tea....

Well, about Hillary I was wrong. She's strong, motivated, and has a great vision. I don't agree with all of her politics, and I don't like some members of her team. But I recognize the importance of the 2008 election, and I know the chances of her winning the nomination (while overhyped) are somewhat good. And I can say if Hillary is nominated, I'll rally behind her 100%

Now, John Edwards. I know a lot of Clarkies especially have a problem with former Senator Edwards. Personally, I've always liked John Edwards. He's exciting, he's energizing, he's got a sort of fresh, and he has a great vision for America. I think the issues he's championed have been wonderful, and his appeal to middle class America is wonderful based off those issues he's worked on. Needless to say, I will not be disappointed to see John get the nomination!

Finally, Barack Obama. What a rise to fame Mr. Obama has had, and boy has he earned it. Sometimes you wonder if he's on American Idol or running for President, but honestly he's a rockstar. He speaks to America like no one has since Bill Clinton and/or JFK. And again, like Clinton and Edwards, a very nice vision for our country. His experience in D.C. really doesn't bother me much, it's his life experience that makes me think he has what it takes to be the nominee and to be President!!

So with all the threads about whether Hillary is satan, whether Edwards house is big enough, and whether Obama is wrong for standing by his contributors statements...I just want to stop and say I like all three. No they're not perfect, not a damn one of them. But so what? They're Democrats, and damn good ones at that. And add in some other names like Richardson, Clark, Dodd, Biden, and possibly even the man himself Gore and you have yourself an incredible field to choose from.

(If Gore runs, all three IMHO will not be a factor--the rightful President will take his rightful place in the WH!!)

3. Two out of the three current frontrunners are AWESOME !!

And I believe that Governor Richardson -- and of course, General Clark or VP Al Gore should they enter -- are all incredible!!!

Hillary though...

God help us all.

4. Keep an open mind.
I used to be the same way after 04' when people would even mention Hillary.

8. Hillary and Edwards are closed cases to me. I know who they are.
And they do not inspire me.

10. I don't believe Obama will hold up in the long haul
Repigs are just waiting to begin their smear Obama campaign if he starts polling next to Hillary..
It would be a disaster.

9. Great- Good to see you are a big enough person to admit you were wrong about Hillary..
She's not only strong but brave enough to take the slings of arrows from our own here on DU..
Something has to be done about the irrelevant attacks by posters such as blm's ridiculous crusade
over 30yr old issues that have long passed the statute of limitations. The Bush Crime family has
enough in their current portfolio, once proven, to exile them on the Isle of Elbe for eternity.

I appreciate your post setting the record straight. Thanks-
