To Impeach or Not to Impeach: Audio Debate
There are those who believe that Bush and Cheney have committed impeachable offenses but that we should not try to impeach them. In this discussion, Bob McAdams lays out the arguments.

Then there are those, like myself, who think we need to put everything we've got into impeachment now. Here's my case.

Meanwhile, there are a lot of people who see both sides and want to hash it out and mull it over, as in this discussion that followed Bob's and my remarks at a Charlottesville Center for Peace and Justice gathering in a living room in Charlottesville, Va.

Others may find this a useful exchange and want to engage in a similar group conversation.

1. Thanks for this David. We need to know the arguements...
...if we want to answer them. Here's another helpful thread:

2. Nothing To Discuss
This administration had lied to Congress and the American people, knowingly illegally invaded 2 countries, endangered the planet by ignoring scientific research and plans to nuke Iran, quite possibly leading to WW III and the annihilation of the planet. The entire world should be demanding impeachment and if Americans are not up to the task, other countries should collectively take it in to their hands to ensure that these maniacs are stopped.

3. Apparently there IS, cuz it ain't happened yet. So are you gonna...
...roll up your sleeves and pitch in, or are you content with letting nothing happen so you can act morally superior?

10. Morally Superior? Roll Up My Sleeves? WTF?
Edited on Sun Feb-25-07 02:31 PM by lligrd
How the heck do you know what I have or have not done? Who is the one here that is acting morally superior? FYI, I recommended the thread and agreed with the arguments. I was simply trying to make the point that impeachment is long past due.

11. If I misjudged, I apologize. It just seemed awfully damn dismissive.
And David Swanson has done great work in this area. He deserves better than dismissive.

12. I Certainly Didn't Mean To Come Across As Dismissive
I am simply appalled at what is happening to this country. And yes, I am angry, but certainly not at those on DU.
