Help on the history of no child left behind
In a few days Ks. Cong. Dennis Moore (D) will be visiting our school for an public chat about the public's feelings about the recirtification of NCLB.

Correct me if I am wrong in the following.

Now If I remember correctly the Republic House and Senate killed King George's Texas version of NCLB as soon as he left the Texas Governors (high)chair. T? F?

I seem to remember that studies in Tx showed documented evidence that NCLB had a net negative effect on minority and inner city children who are in 'poorly performing' schools.

Can anybody point me to news articles, etc. documenting this event, if it did in fact occur.

And what was Mr. Moore's voting record on NCLB?

Thanks
Flavin
