Do you like the canidates?
I really am impressed by the slate of candidates this cycle. in 04, i thought Dean was pretty good, and Edwards tolerable, but this time, WOW. i like hillary, obama, richardson, and edwards. if i had to rank them, id go: richardson, hillary, obama, edwards.

on them. Whoever gets the nom..they will basically all have the same positions. They will move to the center and I will view them as a lesser evil, but that is because I am far left. Once you take away the different speeches and personalities and strip them down to the issues..they are all pretty close to the same in my opinion. Here are my issues which I have no hope of being addressed or actually acted on in congress/presidency:

repeal of right to work and employment at will laws.
publicly funded campaigns
IRV voting or at least removing legal barriers to third parties
Enact Kyoto Treaty
immediate withdrawal from Iraq and renounce colonialism
Sign peace treaty with N Korea in an effort to open them up and end embargo on Cuba

Once whoever gets the nomination has to answer to the party and take donations from all the big corps I doubt any of my main issues will be addressed. I will vote Dem as I always do, but I really feel I don't have a true horse in the race ever. :-(

3. Great group of candidates
Obama is the best, but all the others have great qualities.

4. Definitely a very strong field to pick from this time
Just imagine if Dean was in it, too. Regardless, we've got some major heavyweights going at it and we're gonna be looking good when the big game rolls around. I think it'll boil down to Hillary or Obama.

6. Doesn't matter

People here will still whine anyway, just like in 04 that ________ isn't liberal enough or hasn't addressed ___________ (my pet peeve issue).

Sorry if that may offend some, but it's true. Flame away.

8. I don't like the prospect of Bush, Clinton, Bush, Clinton, Bush
Other than that, I have no problem with the field, other than Joe Biden, who is pompous and arrogant.
