WaPo/ABC - Obama rising, Clinton lead cut by half, Giuliani 2-1 over McCain
"The opening stages of the campaign for the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination have produced a noticeable shift in sentiment among African American voters,
who little more than a month ago heavily supported Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton but now favor the candidacy of Sen. Barack Obama.

Clinton, of New York, continues to lead Obama and other rivals in the Democratic contest, according to the latest Washington Post-ABC News poll. But her once-sizable margin over the freshman senator from Illinois was sliced in half during the past month largely because of Obama's growing support among black voters.

In the Republican race, former New York mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani, who recently made clear his intentions to seek the presidency, has expanded his lead over Sen. John McCain of Arizona. Giuliani holds a 2 to 1 advantage over McCain among Republicans, according to the poll, more than tripling his margin of a month ago."

No need for Obama supporters to celebrate, and Hillary supporters to start pulling out hair. Oh, and Edwards supporters...hang in there!! You've got a good candidate. It's still so long away. Though a good indication that Obama is catching some wind with African American voters, and I'm sure the debates will narrow Clinton's lead some more.

3. There was a piece on NPR this morning
about this, and particularly about how Obama is gaining momentum among African-American voters. The interview with Obama is especially compelling and worth a listen.

I don't want to spoil the ending for anyone, but the end of the piece also provides yet another indication that Obama is gaining ground on a variety of fronts.

4. Old news. All of the candidates dropped since the last ABC poll and Hillary and Obama's lead over

Edwards shrunk as well.

Very little changed since the last poll. Statistically, this poll is useless. It shows nothing notable.

5. Not unexpected and as it should be.
Obama is getting out there and people are liking what they see.

I certainly do. :)

6. Great Obama news!
Answers the question: is he "black" enough!!!
Intelligence, charisma and life experiences established!
Just think, a whole year to mature and grow into the
candidate.... every group could support, race aside.
:applause: :woohoo:

7. Wondering how hard
Wondering how hard Clinton is going to hit Obama as he draws closer over the next few months. I think Edwards is gonna sit back and watch them duke it out then come across as the reasonable one in the whole thing but who really knows. I think Rudy/Romney is what we are gonna be up against, gonna be tough after our Democrats get done tearing each other to shreds while the rethugs sit back quietly, they know what's on the line and will just be watching the show we put on.

8. Glad to see Obama
beating Giuliani--I can't see that reversing anytime soon, unless he screws up big. On the other hand, I DO see Giuliani's numbers eventually sinking as more people get to know what a "swell guy" he really is.

10. Oh my goodness, the sky is falling, HRC's
lead cut in half. But she never lost her lead, and most likely never will.

Each time we hear a talk radio Nazi say "She can't win," it means they're afraid of her. Talk radio whores are saying great things about Obama, which should make you wonder. Why would a facsist bastard say nice things about Obama?

I have nothing bad to say about Obama. If Obama wins - whoever wins the Democratic nomination, I'm behind him/her all the way. (That's a sentence you won't hear from most lefty web sites.)

But seriously, between Obama with two years experience and the only team to win back-to-back presidential campaigns since FDR,(the team that beat war hero Bush and war hero Dole),

...who do you think the super-racist GOP wants to run against?
