I suspect that it has hurt him at least somewhat in some circles he travles in. He came off as willing to pay others to destroy the Reputation of a hero.

Whether people like John Kerry or not, it is fact that he showed great courage and heroism in Vietnam - and Fox saying he was a hero might be the one true thing he said on the matter. As long as there are people who say there were questions on Kerry's Vietnam record, he is quilty of causing the damage by spreading untrue and malicious reports which makes him an immoral person.

I just wish there were a way to punish the people who led this.
