A Hearty Well-Done to Senator Kerry's Swiftboat Shipmates
bush withdrew the nomination of his slimeball piece of garbage typical conservative sam fox for an ambassadorship this week due in no small part to the intervention of Senator Kerry's Swiftboat shipmates who professionally kicked some ass in their correspondence to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

http://bobgeiger.blogspot.com/2007/03/kerry-shipmates-dodd-come-out-strong.html

slimeball fox gave money so people could lie loudly. Just another chapter in the legacy of george w. bush.

If you fuck with honest veterans, eventually you are gonna get your ass kicked.

1. It WAS a particularly satisfying piece of news to hear he got sent off
with his tail between his legs. Someone who smears the reputation of a hero like Kerry deserves no better.

3. Isn't it interesting that EVERY FUCKING MAN on Kerry's boat supports him,
while John O'Neill, Roy Hoffmann, and the rest of that lying gang of asshats WHO WEREN'T THERE were given a forum to spew their shit?

6. John Kerry took bullets for his country and saved a man's life
and his patriotism is questioned by a cretinous drug addicted cowardly pervert like limbaugh?? The bush legacy should be stowed in a septic tank.

I emailed O'Neill on several occasions telling him this CPO wanted to counsel his worthless junior officer ass. He didn't have time to return my emails.

15. These same men were out there countering the swifts in 2004, but corpmedia ignored
them as they gave countless hours of airtime to the swifts.

Now, too many Democrats BLAME a lack of defense against the swifts, telling these men that they didn't do a good job.

They did the job - it was corpmedia who wouldn't LET the counter attacks against the swifts be HEARD.

BTW: I love your sigline - that is one of my favorite poems ever. Scary how it seems increasingly relevant in these times...

Gee if he hadn't given that money to the liars, there would have been no story here. Hope this causes potential donors of slime machine orgs to think twice before they donate.

5. Also a big shoutout for Chris Dodd, the ONLY member of the foreign Committee
other than Kerry to have stated publicly he would oppose Fox's nomination BEFORE the nomination was withdrawn.

We would be in a much better place today. Shame on the corporate lackey M$M!

8. I am so glad that POS Sam Fox did NOT even try for the ambassadorship...
...after his hearing with the Sen Foreign Relations Committee. The POS did not even have the balls to admit that what he did was wrong, let alone apologize to Kerry, the hero he slimed without cause.

Let that POS recall this as the un-crowning glory of his rise from a nobody to someone who was made a fool of because he supported lies.

9. Oh those holy conservatives won't apologize for anything
All they do is slime and lie and cheat and steal. Its some of their "values." But never apologize even when the world knows the reason you should.

12. they are incapable of admitting they are wrong, ever.
They are so Darwininan that to be wrong is the same as dying I guess. My cranky old conservative Dad doesn't like what Bush has done/is doing, but to him, considering a Democrat as president is like looking into the Abyss. So he still feels he made the best choice! Imagine living in a reality like that!

14. I think it was worse than made a fool of
I suspect that it has hurt him at least somewhat in some circles he travles in. He came off as willing to pay others to destroy the Reputation of a hero.

Whether people like John Kerry or not, it is fact that he showed great courage and heroism in Vietnam - and Fox saying he was a hero might be the one true thing he said on the matter. As long as there are people who say there were questions on Kerry's Vietnam record, he is quilty of causing the damage by spreading untrue and malicious reports which makes him an immoral person.

I just wish there were a way to punish the people who led this.

17. Amen. I would have been outraged if Democrats had
buckled before W's calculated insult to Kerry. With a Democratic Congress, there will be justice in the land and RWers like Fox need to be held accountable for their rotten deeds. Even if like Sam they can't remember what the swiftboat liars did with his money.

The battle continues to return the Swiftboat Vets For The Lies a favor. They certainly better watch their back.

I have my boots ready to stand on O'Neil's neck.

22. This part of the letter really kicked ass:
"But one of the lessons drilled into us by the military and preserved through the memory of friends who were not lucky enough to come home from Vietnam alive, is that truth matters above all else. Lies about those who put on the uniform of our country have no place in politics."

These guys rock. Thanks for the post, Boss!

23. But Joe Lieberman LOVES Sam Fox - what a pig...
"Joe Lieberman was beaming. "Sam Fox represents what America is all about," he said, "and that's why he will be, when confirmed, an extraordinary ambassador."

The scene was last week's Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Connecticut's junior senator was making a highly unusual appearance to lobby for Fox's nomination to be the U.S. ambassador to Belgium."

snip

"The day after the 2006 election, Lieberman, elected as an independent, got a $10,500 contribution from Fox and another $10,500 from Fox's wife. Both are generous GOP donors.

Lieberman dropped into Fox's confirmation hearing last week to praise the St. Louis businessman, a somewhat unorthodox step for a senator who is not a committee member."
