Help me decide

I am being asked by political players to to run for the party
chairmanship. I was 3rd in 2006 for two positions for the
county commission. I feel an obligation and a desire but I am
66 years old and had contemplated camping, traveling and
relaxing, taking care of my husband,etc. If we, the,
Democrats, do not do well in city elections this year we have
lost the entire county to the GOP. I guess I am asking you for
encouragement. Please respond.
