6. I don't think it was Rutgers, but instead was Imus's calling Cheney a war criminal.

Imus has been getting away with racist comments for years and the powers-that-be laughed them off. What's different this time is that Imus has lately been criticizing Bush and Cheney AS WELL AS making his usual racist comments. The corporate media can easily accept racism from Imus, but will not endure criticism of the BFEE. Ergo, Imus had to go.

The Rutgers comment is just the excuse they're using.
