Anyone gonna hold Collins feet to the fire?
Didn't she say something like she'd come over to the dem side if they tried to persuade her?

Isn't that malfeasance on her part? Doesn't she have an obligation to get and use all the relevant information before she makes a decision?

1. That was Ollie that said that, as if the issue doesn't have enough inherent value. nt

2. I don't think she ever said that
I think we have to hold her to her statement of only serving two terms.

We hope to fire her in '08!

4. I can't imagine Snowe saying it either
It hasn't made the news up here. I would think something as major as that would make an impact locally.

Do you have a source for this? (I'm not doubting you but I'd like to see just where it was said.)

5. washington post earlier this week
Snowe, 60, has never had a chance to explain her concerns to Democrats. Despite her well-known willingness to switch sides on high-profile issues, no one on the majority side has gotten in touch on the spending bill. "It wouldn't take a lot" to win her over, said Snowe, who cruised to a third term in November, despite heavy GOP losses in the region. "But they haven't tried."
