Republican presidential hopeful Rudolph W. Giuliani last night said he would use attrition to cut more than 20 percent of federal civilian government employees and wants an outright cut in nondefense spending.

"The United States government right now needs an across-the-board spending decrease," the former New York mayor told the Heritage Foundation last night.

There's so much wrong here, I'll let you take first cracks at it.

2. "told the heritage foundation"
source: Washington Times. That just about does it for me.

Members of the heritage foundation do not deserve their citizenship. giuliani reduced to sucking heritage cock because he doesn't tow the line on abortion. It must really SUCK being a republican running for president with so many "important" groups to grovel to.

4. I'm sure you'll get a lot of votes from federal workers, Rudy.
Attrition sounds painless. Unless you're one of the 80% left who have to pick up the slack.

6. Why isn't rudy cutting the defense spending?
I'm certain there are billions of dollars being wasted every month. It is really great to see the rethugs endearing themselves to the voters and their potential constituents.

9. This is why. Out of the horse's mouth.
"As for military spending, he lamented the fact that it has fallen to 4.1 percent of the nation's gross domestic product, compared with 6.2 percent under President Reagan.

"In a speech this weekend to The Citadel, a military college in South Carolina, Mr. Giuliani proposed increasing the size of the Army. Yesterday, he said there would be no shortage of volunteers to fill out the force."

11. So, let's see...
...a candidate goes in front of the Heritage Foundation and reels off neoconservative position after neoconservative position.

Yet he won't be labelled a neoconservative because he isn't virulently anti-choice.

Good thing we have a liberal media (sarcasm).
