Why is Hillary Clinton destroying the competition on Intrade?
http://www.intrade.com/jsp/intrade/trading/t_index.jsp?selConID=177134

The Last price number is the important one

Contract B Qty Bid Ask A Qty Last Vol Chge
2008DEM.NOM.CLINTON 20 51.1 52.3 11 51.0 167.8k -1.8
2008DEM.NOM.OBAMA 10 28.6 28.8 68 28.8 130.9k +0.6
2008DEM.NOM.GORE 61 9.8 10.0 14 9.8 183.1k -0.8
2008DEM.NOM.EDWARDS 78 7.3 7.6 3 7.1 77.5k +0.1
2008DEM.NOM.RICHRDSN 5 2.1 2.2 99 2.1 54.7k +0.6

This is far beyond the norm of what any polling is saying.

Let's take a look at the GE (please note this is overall winner so this is not a head to head competition)

2008.PRES.CLINTON(H) 79 38.8 43.9 1 38.8 24.2k -4.2
2008.PRES.OBAMA 19 17.0 17.1 1 17.0 9704 +0.5
2008.PRES.GIULIANI 1 12.3 17.5 251 14.8 9610 0
2008.PRES.McCAIN 3 12.5 14.8 4 14.0 14.2k 0
2008.PRES.THOMPSON(F) 1 8.2 9.0 250 9.7 203 0
2008.PRES.GORE 598 8.1 8.2 247 8.1 23.7k -0.3

Again this seems out of line with naitonal polling. Though it certianly is nice to see two Democrats at the top.

4. I made some money betting on 06
and I can tell you, these sites are not very good at predicting the future. The odds were totally against Dems winning both houses up until hours after the results were coming in. They were way late on predicting Lamont would win the Dem primary, and that is where I made some good $$$. They also thought my governor was going to get thumped for a long time, and she went on to win by 16%.

These odds don't seem that out of line. While the polls generally indicate Hillary is a weaker general election than Edwards and Obama, they also indicate she is the Dem primary frontrunner. Why bet on Giuliani or McCain to win the general election when it doesn't look like they have as good of a lock on the primary?
