Boston's WRKO-680 decides to not go forward with Imus's Bernard
Just came over the TV.

This is the right wing station that hired former speaker of the Mass House Democrat Tom Finneran but only after he was forced to resign and was convicted in Court - also has Howie Carr, Matt Drudge, Rush Limbaugh, Michael Savage, and Glenn Beck.

And Bernard was too dirty for them to even give him a 3 day try out!

Amazing.

1. Somebody found an old 60 Minutes piece about McGuirk and n-word jokes.

WRKO cancels appearance by McGuirk

George Regan, a spokesman for Entercom Communications, the parent company
of WRKO, declined to say why the invitation was rescinded. But over the
weekend, a 1997 interview on CBS' “60 Minutes” surfaced in which Imus was
quoted using a racial slur to say that McGuirk was hired for his show to tell
jokes about blacks.

McGuirk is just too hot to handle.

EDIT: The alleged n-word reference happened off-mike.

2. WRKO sucks - they're overloaded with low-lifes as it is.
And Bernie would have been too much?
