1. You think calling Hillary a "bitch" is pro-Edwards and pro-Obama?
Well, God Bless America and all that, you have the right to think that if you want.

3. The truth is you called it "Great Pro Edwards and Obama video"
Edited on Wed May-23-07 10:18 PM by MethuenProgressive
And, to the tune of "The Bitch Is Back", it was aimed at people who support Hillary, trying to convince them not to. You did watch it, didn't you? You have the right to think Hillary being called a "bitch" is "great" and I'm sure there's a certain segment of society that would agree with you. I doubt either Edwards or Obama would call her a "bitch", though. It's not too late, there's still time for you to hit the edit button. And the bit at the end, blaming Hillary for Bill's affair with Monica? Pathetic. No wonder the you-tuber published it under a one-time sock pupprt user name.

4. Here's the thing
Why don't some people see how polarizing Senator Clinton is? Dems don't dislike her because they "fear" her as the claim is made of Rethugs. I won't go into the various reasons as what matters here is the bottom line

Hillary supporters are all aghast at the anti-Hillary campaign that's going on NOW, imagine, just imagine for a moment, what it would be like in the general! Oh? What's that you say? Hillary can raise the dough to counter the "swiftboating"? Yes, that's right, Hillary can raise a lot of dough and every penny of it would be spent on putting out those fires 24/7. There would be such an effort to counter the hydra-style talking heads on the right there would be little to nothing left to promote a positive agenda.

I really think nominating Senator Clinton would be a strategic blunder that would not only cost us the WH but much, much more.

In 04 we had people coming in our Dem office every single day with this: "I'm an independent, I usually vote Republican but I hate George Bush!" (as an aside, I am in a red county within a red district in blue MI) Granted I didn't hear any passionate "I just love John Kerry!" declarations, and that goes to the fact people are more inclined to come out and vote against something than for something.

I don't know that there's anyone that's known and hated on the scale of Bush or Hillary so I don't foresee a replay of 04 in 08. We won't have the steady stream of people coming in because they hate the GOP nominee so we need them to be inspired by the Dem one. That won't be the case if it's Hillary no matter how much you love her.

Just my .0125

Julie

5. Sure, point the finger at the victim..
It's the oldest game in town.

Whats more, your charge of Hillary being the most hated is laughable!

She's been the front runner in this campaign and the only viable candidate with the credentials to be president!

If Obama handed in his resume for president of a multi-Trillion dollar company, he's be dismissed as a junior player and at best offered an internship for a minimum of three years. Then at which time, his performance would come under revue and recommendations made. Theres no way Obama would be allowed to skip over seasoned professionals. Professionals who have paid their dues by demonstrating their ability vis a vis a stellar portfolio of past successes and possess good problem solving skills just for openers. Obama thinks the American people want a fresh face and a dream...They don't! They want a candidate with a history of success. Someone they can rely on to get the job done on time and exceed expectations.

There is only "one" who fulfills those requirements and that is Senator Hillary Clinton!

6. Ok, first off, I'm not pointing fingers
I was merely stating the facts of the matter. Did I lay blame anywhere? Did I attack Senator Clinton?

You really shouldn't come to every conversation with the mindset that anything less than positive is an attack as you will find that you never end up in a constructive discussion.

I'm applying strategic thinking here. I am not working on any campaign this primary season and I'm all about observing what's going on, the field of battle as it were.

8. If thats your conclusion after, erm, strategic thinking...then..I understand
when you weigh the facts: an ignorant tool used to embarrass and degrade a rival candidate, as constructive...let me know!

I don't really care whether you are working for a candidate's campaign or not. Keeping the dialog civil and above board raises people's awareness and thought process. This pitiful exhibition is geared to nothing more than mockery and humiliation...by supporting it, you become as thoughtless and ignorant as the people posting it.

9. I'm not supporting this "exhibition"
It simply inspired my train of thought in my initial post in this thread. You may notice that nowhere in that post did I even comment on that YouTube bit.

You seem very busy inferring things but manage to avoid the actual substance of my initial reply.

Good luck with that particular approach.

10. You're delusional.. if you believe what you said..
Asking, why then Obama has played copy cat with Hillary's voting record in 69 instances save 1 out of 70 votes..
Turn on your spin machine and get back to me with your best effort.

12. Thanks for the video. While i don't necessarily commend the soundtrack, the video is truth...
and totally supportable with evidence. Fact is, Hillary's tendency to polarize the American public is rivaled only by the current chimp-in-chief. It's time for her and her brand of *politics* to be turned away...

14. Again...i said i can do without the video soundtrack. Did you not read that part of my post?
At the same time, the content of the clip effectively illustrates how her brand of smallish, calculating, polarizing politics ... is being rejected by so many.

15. I read that part of your post.
"effectively illustrates how her brand of smallish, calculating, polarizing politics"

Actually its a douchebag hit piece with misleading editing.

Whether its quoting Fox News "Democrats" & Pat Robertson on why they don't like Hillary?

The Iraq-Al Queda connection? No date for when she said that but its edited in between.
They have the Edwards quote with the date though.
