New WaPo/ABC News Poll on Democrats in 2008
This Washington Post-ABC News poll was conducted by telephone May 29-June 1, 2007, among a random national sample of 1,205 adults, including an oversample of African Americans, for a total of 284 black respondents. The results from the full survey have an error margin of plus or minus three percentage points.

If the 2008 Democratic presidential primary or caucus in your state were being held today, and the candidates were: (Hillary Clinton, John Edwards, Barack Obama, Al Gore, Bill Richardson, Joe Biden, Chris Dodd, Dennis Kucinich or Mike Gravel), for whom would you vote?

Edwards: 8

(ASKED OF GORE SUPPORTERS) If Gore does not run, for whom would you vote?

(ASKED OF LEANED DEMOCRATS) Regardless of who you may support, who do you think (ITEM) - (Clinton) (Obama) or (Edwards)?

... is the strongest leader

Clinton 50%
Obama 26%
Edwards 15%

... best understands the
problems of people like you

Clinton: 38
Obama: 33
Edwards: 18

... is the most honest and
trustworthy

5. Sorry, just read it.
Invalid poll until after the primaries. Republicans are not going to vote in the Democratic primary, and therefore influence the outcome of the poll.

Let's see. If I was a Republican who would I pick - probably the one I would most like to face in the general.

The poll questions about dem candidates was asked of "Leaned Dems". No republicans voted in those questions.

12. What are you talking about?
"Republicans are not going to vote in the Democratic primary, and therefore influence the outcome of the poll."

The Democratic primary question was only addressed Democrats or Democrat leaning Indies.
