McCain Nearly Broke, but Stays Course
Edited on Mon Jul-16-07 11:17 AM by jasonc
That is the title of a piece done this morning by NPR.

Ironic isnt it, that could also be the title of his support for the war, for Bushs strategy, etc...

McCains candidacy is analogous to the war in Iraq.

"Sen. John McCain, the Republican from Arizona vying for the presidency, vows to remain in the race despite a campaign in disarray and nearly broke."

1. How long before he puts a coffee can with a slot cut into the plastic lid
on his desk in the Senate chamber? Alms for the poor, alms for the poor!

4. McCain's wallet is empty and his pro-war stance is discredited.
He has no staff and a volatile temper.

Adios, Senator.

5. Those years in a Vietnamese prison camp
have finally caught up with McCain. This is not the man we used to know. When he attached himself to GWB he lost me completely. The photo of McCain trying to get his little short arms around GWB to hug him surely has doomed him. It is tragic when a man who endured torture for years now is so conflicted. He, in my opinion, needs serious mental health examinations.

6. Damn you--now you made me feel sorry for him!
(Actually, I used to like him, and very much feel sorry for him now--for what he's become.)

7. His refusal to give up shows he not only pushed the Iraq war
just like bush did, but he is also pushing the other things bush stands for.
