Tim Hasselbeck...cut by the Giants, loves GWB and the war, ultra chickenhawk. Now will he enlist?
Tims's wife Elizabeth Hasselbeck is a co-host on The View, and loves the Iraq War more than anything in the world. Both the Hasselbecks are proud republicans, strong war supporters, attended the White House dinner for Queen Elizabeth, and Elizabeth Hasselbeck spoke at the 2004 Republican Convention.

Elizabeth wants to 'Fight them over there so we don't have to fight them here'. She thinks the war will 'keep us safe'. She said (on air) that the war casualties are 'unfortunate'.

Tim is a healthy 29 year old who has played professional backup quarterback his entire adult life...while vigorously advocating that the poor kids in this country go fight in Iraq on his behalf.

Now that Tim has been cut, do you think he'll be waiting at the recruiting station Tuesday morning to enlist? He's young, he's strong, he's healthy, and he's a republican. He's also unemployed.

Just for once, I wish one of these young chickenhawks would be a 'man' and fight the war they want everyone else to fight.

21. She'd best not quit her day job!!!!!! Wonder how long she'll be lovin' that big
strong husband if he doesn't bring home some bacon? Or if he ends up getting some "not so cool" job as say, an assistant coach at a third tier college making a high five, or low six figures IF the team has a winning season?

41. I will give you a way to find certain information. I will not decide if it is correct
or even suggest what one could do with such info. Remember it is highly likely that your name is in this database too.

zabasearch.com

type in the name in question and list the state in question.

If, for instance, you typed in...say Person X. Who lives in State X

A list of names with various given names pops up. And you scroll down. You might notice that someone with Person X's name lives at a certain address. And that someone with the same name as Person X's wife lives at the same address.

Now Person X's wife. Her middle name might start with a ..."G" and the the listing in ZabaSearch says "F". Well it may be that her maiden name began with a "F"....

That is generally how I find info. Cross referencing is a wonderful thing.

If this gets wiped: That's okay. I understand. I personally have no interest in hassling anybody. But I'm always interested in seeing how it could be done...if I wanted to....and didn't believe in karma.....

8. Here's a fair rebuttal to your question: Are all those opposed to the war REQUIRED ...
Edited on Sun Sep-02-07 02:02 PM by Buzz Clik
... to be active and open in their opposition? Take to the streets, door-to-door, publishing? (Posting snipes on an online bulletin board gets zero points)

15. you seem to be assuming that those opposed to the war are doing nothing more than posting on
message boards. why is that, exactly?

and do you honestly not see a difference between those opposed to war, and those willing to let others die for THEIR support?

23. You missed all of my points.
  1. I didn't say "that those opposed to the war are doing nothing more than posting on message boards." I posed the question: Should those opposed to the war be forced to put it on the line -- to take some risk by openly and actively opposing the war? This seems to me to be the logical flipside to the demand that those who support the war be forced into the military.

  2. I see a great difference between "those opposed to war, and those willing to let others die for THEIR support." I also see that many who oppose the war are equally willing to let others do the leg work while they sit on their asses and posting numbers of dead.

Yeah, the Romney boys make me ill, but I have no love for their counterparts on the left.

25. no, I didn't miss "all of your points"--since there was only one, and it was quite clear. I don't
know how many peace activists you know (and I find it interesting that you assume that all peace activists are on the left) but all the ones I know are working their butts off--and risking arrest, teargassing, being dragged so forcibly across streets that their clothing is removed, and daily threats. so please, do not speak to me of those sitting around letting others do the work for them. we are trying to keep people from dying, a slight difference from the pounders of the drums of war, who seem to like the dying of others.

28. There's no comparison. War supporters are forcing all of us to finance the war.
You are talking apples and oranges.

Chickenhawks want to glorify the war, and force other people to financially support it. Therefore, we are all unwillingly involved. People who oppose the war (such as myself), are not forcing anyone like the Hasselbecks to support our beliefs with their money or their children.

27. What assumptions you make!
You state: 'Yeah, the Romney boys make me ill, but I have no love for their counterparts on the left.'

Do you assume that the people who post here are all white healthy males between 18-70? Do you assume they have a way of getting to the demonstrations on their own? Do you assume they can afford the bus fare?? You are so arrogant in your desire that every other person in the world looks like you in a mirror, a white, arrogant, male with money, an a less than insightful poster on a message board.

Let's hear you tell us how many times you put your face and reputation on the line in YOUR community! How many times you got arrested in your wheel chair.

OK?

Such arrogance, geesh!

38. I'm laughing at the description: "professional BACKUP quarterback"
All that beautiful money can't gloss over the fact that he's never actually DONE anything. I may make a (comparatively) meager salary, but at least when I do show up for work, I'm not sitting on a bench watching the REAL worker get things done!

As you point out, it will be quite interesting to see how he applies that education in the real world. I'm sure he knows that as a college graduate he can apply to Officer Candidate School (although I'm not holding my breath on that!).

He's just dead weight on the Giants sidelines, hardly doing anything to help the team. Guess he's just too busy being a chickenhawk Bush cheerleader.
