3 leading Democratic pres. candidates outraised 3 leading GOP pres. candidates
"Through the latest FEC reporting period, the three leading Democrats -- Clinton, Obama and former North Carolina Senator John Edwards -- out-raised the three leading Republicans -- former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and McCain, $145.2 million to $103.3 million."

1. Hmmmm...
McCain is a "leading" puke candidate? Much as I want to cheer, that's not a fair comparison. McCain is faint sewer water and is sure to drag down any team score this season.

2. Ah, finally, something NICE to read about our Dems.
Maybe the collective anger is translating to money spent for our favorites!?

Hope we keep this up. It will be nice to have plenty of money to spend in the general election, defending our candidate from the inevitable attacks.

3. If it was money from the people
and not corporations I might feel a little better. Big money is going to feed the party that has the momentum. People may not be happy with congress, but they are not going to elect another republican unless we have some huge scandal pop up (knock on wood). I live in big pharmaville. I saw the changing of the guard so to speak last November. They wasted no time in shifting their allegiances here.

So one big question is, which of our candidates are going to act in the people's best interest over the money in their pockets? We seriously need public financing. The result of corporate financing is glaring in our faces. Look at some of the health insurance plans rolling out and the overall lack of a plan for global warming.

I guess I'm glad that the businesses are showing faith that the dems will win, but at what cost to us is their faith and their money? Is having control over one or two supreme court judges over the next decade, while ensuring that we can make our own choices about our bodies and life partners, going to be enough? How will we stop what these corporations are doing to the livability of this planet?

The game just seems so rigged from the start that I'm losing hope more and more every day.

4. It's a mixture of money from ordinary people and from corporate executives...
...and corporate PACs.
