Chris Matthews , on The View just now, was asked what the biggest thing in this campaign would be
and he said "gender, a woman president possibly." Hello-what about a BLACK president possibly?

4. True, but there are also two Black women on the show...
and I'm sure the whole audience isn't White, either.

2. He has to keep pushing for Hillary to win the nomination
because the Repubs think she would be the easiest to beat.

17. This from David Gregory on Meet the Press yesterday regarding the Republicans' wish for Hillary...
MR. GREGORY: I think there’s a couple of issues. One, she, she will constantly fight this issue of being her own president, her own woman, and, and is Bill Clinton, the former president, lurking in the shadows, influencing policy? And the way he wrapped his arms around her answers say she’s her own woman, and she’s thought this through, and that’s what she should really be doing. It’s a land mine he’s always going to be walking through.

The second thing is that I think Republicans—all these Republicans that say she is the inevitable nominee, they want her to be the nominee. The only thing they could get Republicans excited right now in their doldrums is the idea of the Clintons running for president the notion that it’s two-for-one again. And I, I was thinking about George W. Bush in 2000, ending every stump speech saying “When I put my hand on the Bible, I’ll restore honor and digerty—dignity to the White House.” They’d like to, to rehash some of those themes.

7. Either one, I believe, would be equally HUGH! Seriesly.
It's just that Tweety is an unabashed Hillary fan, at least in terms of wanting to see her get the nomination. Because then he'll turn into the old Tweety we've come to know and hate. We saw a taste of it last week when he discussed with a guest how corrupt Hillary was. I'm not taking either side of that argument, because I don't know enough of the facts. I only raise the issue as an example of what is to come. If this is the stuff Matthews will say about her now while he's fawning all over her political attributes, just wait until he gets his wish and she's nominated.

Oy.

13. Not nearly equivalent...as Chris Rock said...
"Black men used to get LYNCHED for LOOKING at a White woman." It is NOT like they're both on the same "historical" level.

9. Did he say his vote for Bush in 2000 was a mistake? I didn't catch the entire thing.
It is obvious but I don't think he has ever said it before now (if he did).

18. Obviously Judgement isn't....
one of Tweetie's strengths.
Tweetie will say anything to make his ratings go up. Anything. He supported this
administration while it invaded Iraq, and when it tried to dismantle the Constitution. Now, when it's too late to save nearly four thousand of our citizens and countless innocent Iraqis he's sorry?
He can have an opinion but why would anyone give it credence?

15. Well, so would I. But even Bush is probably a human...
My point was just that Matthews takes every opportunity to push Hillary on us just so she WON'T win the general election.

he screws up his words so often that he can't be a robot.

19. Unfortunate, but true . . .
and the only answer to this problem, no matter who wins in '08, is in the answer to this question "Who are we?"
