Poll question: Is Clark influencing Hillary?
Just found out about her co-sponsorship of Webb ammendment today.

Washington, DC – Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton today announced that she is co-sponsoring legislation introduced by Senator Jim Webb (D-VA) that prohibits the use of funds for military operations against Iran without explicit Congressional authorization (S. 759).

Clark endorsed her what, two weeks ago? Has she been listening? I realize this is pure speculation, but I thought it would be a fun poll anyway.

1. Her support of this is not contradictory to her stated position...
or votes...perhaps it is Hillary's position on these that induced Clark to endorse her...

3. No I don't think clark is influencing hillary ..I think she knows that
a great many dems do not want this war...but at this point i'm not sure she really means it...after she is elected she can do what she wants just like bush...and I so hope this is not true...there is a good possibly that she could win the nomination...

4. Doesn't appear to be
Clark didn't like Kyl/Lieberman which she voted for. I'd say she's thinking for herself, which is as it should be for any candidate.

5. I was wondering what he thought of that.

I figured if there was some upside to it that I was missing, he'd explain it. Then I wondered whether, if he didn't like it, he'd stay quiet, considering his endorsement. But what was I thinking? He's The General! :patriot:

So what did he say?

7. He said he didn't believe in putting out threats
before having a dialogue. He was uneasy about Kyl/Lieberman.

6. I would believe that Clark endorsed Hillary because he respects her positions,
not that Hillary conformed her positions to Clark's after the endorsement.

8. That's right
I doubt if he expects her to do as he says on something they may not see eye to eye about - she thinks for herself, as does he.

I wish she would take his advice, but she's the candidate and it comes down to her own judgment in the end.

Sorry WesDem, lol

As much passion as Clark's put into the Stop Iran War effort, who was she listening to for her Iran vote?

Probably Holbrooke. He was all for the war in Iraq too. Anyway, it's the crowd from the CFR.

Somehow I don't see it. No one "influences" Hillary. She is the influencer. No one person sets or adjusts her course, she is influenced only by vaster things: by the people as a whole, by the zeitgeist, by existence itself. She knows how to tack and turn through the currents of history and the breezes of each day, with Victory as her lodestar. To win, and then to serve, and do all the good that can be done. And she never forgets that no good can be done at all without actually winning first. Not a bad candidate for our side. Not bad at all.

24. And the sun shines out of her every pore
and birds and butterflies flutter around her
and the waters part before her
and the angels shrink back in awe at every word she utters
and she poops emeralds and diamonds.

23. As she guffawed right in Gravel's face
it's clear she wasn't away of how badly this Iran vote was going to play and so now she's trying to fix it. If it isn't for political purposes, Hillary isn't around. When are you guys going to accept what is right in front of your eyes.
