RW update: they still hate all their candidates
I was peeping in on the Freepers again, and reading some online pro-GOP stuff. Very interesting crowd.

They still hate all their candidates. There's not one candidate who is widely supported. Unless someone else joins the GOP field, they are in serious trouble.

Romney, Giuliani and McCain are getting hammered by all the RW types. And Fred Thompson apprently has been pretty much a dud for them. This mirrors what's been said in the mainstream media about the preferences of the GOP faithful.

They are in trouble.

4. Nail on the head
They'd run Jesus out of town on a rail the first time he said gays are people too.

8. Not high standards, but inflexibility
That's their problem.

3. Well, none of it will matter after the primaries--then they'll rally to whomever
Edited on Mon Oct-01-07 09:29 PM by wienerdoggie
will go against Hillary, and it will be 2000 or 2004 all over again--we'll watch their nominated doofus fuck up in the debates, look like an ass, have dirty secrets exposed, and just generally come off as woefully unsuited to the Presidency, and we'll say, "No WAY we can lose!" Only time will tell if we do, again.

6. ..but will they do the heavy lifting that's required of them?
I think not. They may vote for the nominee, but they will not (in my opinion) use their churches and organizations to get out the vote like the friggin rapture is coming or something. So we should still win handily.
