4. uuummmmm
doesn't that mean that the DLC is being inundated with funds from the corporatist? i mean I'm sure alot of individuals are donating small amounts of money but most of this money is coming from lobbyists meaning our candidates are being bought left and right. We need to realize that the candidates with the most money are more then likely the people who have sold out the american people.

9. i totally agree with you that it sucks you can't even run without big money
which means so many qualified people will never get a chance but since money is the current yardstick at least it's going our way.

7. Agreed. Money wins elections, no matter what people might think.
Additionally, this election is about much more than the presidency. If we're going to fight to gain seats at all levels of government, we're going to need cash.

8. It should be a warning sign to us.
That it is all about money in this country.

It makes me fear for the way our party will be heading.

26. Au contraire.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robber_baron_%28industrialist%29

They dominated and undermined American politics for decades. That era of American politics was just as obscenely, if not more so, about money.

That's just one example. Do some research about the early 20th century for another. Try the era just before the Great Depression.

21. How about....
a good song for Christians soldiers continuing to battle? How about a good march? All of our leading candidates plan to leave the troops there for years, and one signed the resolution for Iran to leave a back door open for Little Boots.

23. But where is the money coming from?
Why is Ruppert Murdock helping to raise money for Hillary? Why does the Corporate media support her?

I want the candidate that is not raking in the money from the Corporations- FOR the Corporations.

It would be nice if the candidates had to reveal, in writing, what they promised to get this money.

32. Looks like some have failed to see what this means...
The GOP is falling fast. Those that have made many millions from the bush cabal being in power, have realized that putting their money on the vegetable bin they call "candidates" is a losing proposition. These people may be greedy and have little to speak of as far as dignity and character, but they are not stupid. Putting money into a losing proposition is not in their scheme of things.

The fact that the D's have raised far more cash, most from relatively small donations, speaks volumes about where the R's are as far as this election goes.

More telling, would be if we had #'s on what incumbent R's in congress are taking in, if anything.

BTW, an ABC poll came up w/a 29% positive rating for congress, but for D's, the rate of approval is 38%, and the approval rate for R's is 27% when it is broken down. This means little for individual districts, but it shows that people are really pissed at the R's, and that is a good thing...:)
