Clarence Thomas is lying his ass off
I'm glad Anita Hill is standing up to this bully, he is a disgrace to the Supreme Court!

I can't believe Clarence Thomas can write a book and think people who have a brain will believe anything he has to say.

Go Anita! Tell it like it is, and don't let this punk try to distort the truth.

1. Well, the publisher is clearly hoping that the people without a brain,
who support this study in mediocrity, will shell out the bucks to cover their million dollar advance to Thomas...

2. He says his book is an AUTObiography - yet another lie
and it is incredibly telling that one has to hide behind limbaugh's microphone to sell his trash which will be in the bargain bins in no time. Only free republic trash want to read lies written by a token. Slappy gives Uncle Tom a bad name.

4. Guilty Conscience
Doesn't take a psych degree to see what he is doing. Why would he feel it necessary to attack Hill after 16 years? Because he knows good and well that everything she said in 1991 was true. Most men would just be grateful to have gotten a lifetime job, but he still needs revenge against her. Does not bode well for any decisions before the Court involving women's rights, but , oh, we knew that, didn't we?

5. It's a shame that a "supreme" court justice
is no longer someone we want our kids to look up to.

Welcome to DU!:hi:

9. What did he do again?
Was it just vulgar jokes about pornos. I really don't think its that bad. I've made some stupid off-hand comments in front of female co-workers that I shouldn't have said. I think that unless he tried to physically assault her or constantly ask her out, its not as serious as it was made to be. It seems that the situation is about personal politics and their own personal conflict that should be no one else's concern. He's going to make his SC decisions regardless of what happened between them. I've known guys who've had girls cried rape, and there was no contact whatsover. Its just such a hazy line, that unless there is actual damage, that it should never be an issue.

10. Anita Hill and others in the office accused Thomas of sexual
harrasment.

I have no reason to disbelieve Ms. Hill or the others. Thomas's biggest mistake, that no one capitalized on during the hearings, is that he emphatically stated he did not read, nor did he even look at or acknowledge the charges against him. How can any judge NOT look at an allegation either against him/her or a defendant/plaintiff, and say they know what they are talking about. It goes against everything the Rule of Law stands for.

Then again, he is an idiot extraodinaire.
