Poll question: Do you think it is already over? Is the nomination Hillary's already?
Be honest and express your feelings.

4. I don't really fall into any of those categories. Maybe "other."
Do I think Hillary has the nomination locked up? Absolutely not. But do I think that she probably has the best chance of getting it? Yep.

I also don't think the polls are completely inaccurate. However I do think that they only represent what is happening *right now* and not what will be happening in January.

5. Dems do not just give up. they fight and they don't except that they don't have choices

No one is inevitable. No one is for sure. Democrats hate being told they have no choice and just accept it. they will find away not to and to do the opposite. Democrats fight against this kind of authroritarian rule and messing with their heads.
Democrats don't get psyched by an authoritarian candidate.
They eat frontrunners for fun.

6. If you were Obama, why would you put out ALL your guns with so much time left?
The remaining 3 weeks will be key.

7. I don't want to believe Hillary has it sewed up.
I have learned, from the dint of long experience, that the pundits, "news" people, pollsters and the candidates, themselves are not to be trusted with any evaluation of their campaigns.
Matter of fact, as surely as a republican's saying anything makes it not so, the claims of those interested parties should invalidate any such notion.

Five years ago, I was pretty unpopular in discussion circles because I stuck up for Hillary and the idea of someone besides a "good ol' boy" becoming, automatically, the president of the US. Now, I have zero desire for her victory and many good reasons why she is wrong for the job. Sad state of affairs.

8. President Gephardt had Iowa locked up in mid-2003. No wait! President DEAN
has it locked up! Before that, President Lieberman had it locked up FOR SURE.

This year, President HClinton has it locked up.

Ain't no locks on any primary or caucus doors. To me there's no real change in the closeness of the turn-out and even closer differentials in the Iowa caucus this year than when both Warner and Bayh were candidates. Add Vilsack, then subtract him, but the landscape stays crowded and IMO will be very close.

I think John Edwards, Barack Obama, and Joe Biden are the top 3 in extremely close differentials and in no predictable order. I honestly believe a few dozen votes could separate those 3.

Very respectable also will be Gov. Richardson's performance, and he also may defeat Sen. Clinton.

With no crystal ball I can't give any more confident a hunch but while she might hold on to her current strength and win it all on caucus night in Iowa, she also might lose it all on caucus night in Iowa, her current strong polling there notwithstanding. She could, as I say, place first; she could also place 4th or 5th.

If the latter scenario materializes, Hillary Clinton is not likely to be the Democratic nominee.

11. How can it be over when it hasn't started yet?
Or is the party establishment trying to control the nomination like the GOP did in 2000?

Also the Mets are invincible.
