Yesterday's Times-Picayune painted another dismal picture of another Republican pervert who trawls from public restroom to public restroom looking for... love? Well, looking for something. Joey DiFatta is the chairman of St. Bernard Parish Council and a prominent Republican leader (until 2004 on the GOP state party Executive Committee). He just withdrew from his state senate race, after his arrests for lewd behavior in a public restroom were made public.

is it just me or is this the first time ever we have had so many representatives who volunteer to leave and so many more caught from scandles that would either make them give up their position or chances for relection?

I fear this is a corpratist agenda since the next pres will be democratic and it looks like we will have a vast majority in both senate and house next election cycle. in our government where checks and balances have been thrown out the window and no pledges from our soon to be president will this consolidation of power plus majority in both house and senate usher in a new era surpassing that of bush inso far as the corpratist agenda is concerned? only instead of a repub led gov it will be a dem gov and america will still be headed downhill.
