1. Who's ever said anything different?
Edwards, Obama and Clinton have all said that 'everything' must stay on the table when it comes to Iran.

2. F*** IT. It's gonna happen and nothing is gonna stop it. All day I
keep coming across these respectable dems popping up with this crap. Why? Just tell me honestly WHY? Why do we have to keep killing?
Why can't we stop it?

4. Ten year minimum is mentioned in the old Nixon plans
Edited on Sun Oct-07-07 08:29 PM by EVDebs
"The British warned in their assessment that any occupation of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Abu Dhabi might have to last as long as 10 years. The use of force would also anger and alienate Arab countries and irritate the Soviet Union, although a military confrontation with the country would be unlikely, the document stipulated."

This is mentioned in the old Nixon plans to seize the Saudi oil fields, now 'tweaked' to become Iraq's oil fields:

The DoD has this all planned out it seems and won't alter course no matter what come hell or high water.

3. War, war, war
Why do I get the feeling war with Iran is inevitable no matter who is in charge?

6. I don't believe that.
Our side, unlike bush, has been calling for a massive diplomatic effort, & I think that might work.

5. War with Iran is not inevitable...
though I think it'll be W's last present to this country. What else did we expect from Madame Albright? Isn't she the one who said the 1/2 million dead Iraqi children because of the sanctions were a price worth paying?

There is a candidate you can trust won't go to war with Iran, y'know, and he's a Democrat!

Go Dennis! :woohoo:

7. You convinced me. Only he and Gravel have been consistently
and fully opposed to these wars, and only Dennis has actively fought against it. Now, how can we help him? Every deck is stacked against his candidacy.

8. When Albright was asked if the deaths of 500,000 Iraqis was "worth it", she said yes
This was in the 1990s mind you, and the question was about the US imposed sanctions on Iraq that killed 500,000 to 1.5 million Iraqis (mostly children).

Her latest comments are not surprising.
