Why is Howard Dean not running?

Seriously. I still think he'd be the best candidate we have. He's proved himself as governor and he's proved himself as having political courage. Why is he not in the campaign?

1. Because he promised that he would not run for Prez if he became the DNC Chair
Howard is a man of his word.

5. he got the message the first time--if you're not a tool of corporations, don't you dare try to grab
the steering wheel.

Dean was lucky he was only taken out with character assassination.

6. Because the DLC don't like him.He is doing more with his 50 state strategy
than they have done in years to get candidates elected. They do not like that he is leveling the playing field. They want to play by the same old rules and concentrate power in a few areas.

7. The chair of the DNC can't run
And he's doing a lot of good for the country and the Dem Party as the head of the DNC. I suspect there may be another Presidential campaign in his future. But not in 2008.

11. Because he was hoping for a brokered convention...
where the party would come to him as it's savior. He, of course, forgot about Al Gore.
