Ignoring my little voice... WHY should I support Hillary?
I don’t like her mandatory Health insurance plan.

I don’t like her stand on keeping troops in Iraq.

I don’t like her vote about Iran’s Army. (non-binding or whatever, it makes it more difficult to deal with them.)
I don’t like the idea of a Clinton retread. ( I used to joke that she was the brain behind president Clinton. Now that idea diminishes his Presidency. I dropped it then, I refuse to diminish it now. )

Just because everybody blindly likes her? I think not!

She avoids difficult questions.

Her policies change with the latest poll.

Somehow, I just can’t bring myself to trust her. I know I am not alone. As well as everyone of the U’s I talk to feel the same way, “She is no different than the rest of them, business as usual. Everyone fall lockstep in her support.” However of those U’s only two of them even consider voting for her. When pressed neither say they would.

She will lose the GE.
I like her $5000 savings plan but that’s it. Even if she delivers, That’s not enough.
So the question remains WHY should I support her?

1. The Answer Most Seem To Be Giving
Because she's a Democrat, and if you don't vote for her, we might end up with a repub.

Still, I'm not sure I'll be able to vote for her on that basis alone. If I did, and she turns out to be a liability, I'll look like one of the IDIOT * supporters, who voted for him twice, solely because he was the repub nominee.

3. Because on Election Day you'll think about it
You'll use your head and your heart then make up your mind. You may vote for my candidate, Hillary Clinton, you may not; but you will know that you've voted by making up your own mind.

4. If you don't support Hillary, find a Democrat you do support and promote his election
We need to stop trashing our Democrat candidates and handing the republicans free talking points.

Support the person you would like to see as President, just don't maul the other ones. We are all still Democrats before, during, and after the primaries.

We absolutely have to beat the republicans in 2008. Save your fight for the conservatives.

Let us BUILD UP our Democrats, not tear them down.

9. You have to learn to ignore the children
Staying positive is hard in a place like DU but rather than be myself of 4 years ago I've made a decision to not sink to their level.

Now tell me where have you been stumping for Joe? I love the guy.

16. Good for you!
I am not familiar with the politics of the Honorable Joe Biden. Not being from Delaware, I don't spend a lot of time reading about his accomplishments.

I do remember him getting into a discussion with President Clinton about the Surgeon General. It was not about who should be Surgeon General, but why the taxpayers were funding such a position in government. I kind of liked that.

We have a winner. I have the same issues about voting for her. Bush,Clinton,Bush,Clinton doesn't make the US look like the land of new opportunities! I will kick this!

11. Who is *making* you?
Jeesh. Support who you like.

All I ask of anyone is to vote for the eventual nominee, unless another nutjob republican president sounds good to you.

Frankly, I'm happy to support whoever the party choses this time around. I'm in NY so my vote doesn't matter in the primaries, the state will go to Hillary.

I think Hillary can win. I think Obama can win. I think I've never seen such a lame lineup from the repukes in a while.

12. I never understand these "Why should I support (X)?" threads...
it's not hard to find out a candidates position, do your homework. Why
should someone have to convince you?

14. If you don't want to support her in the primaries, don't
Vote for the person YOU want, not the person you think other people will want.

Voting for the candidate the "cool kids" want is harmless if the position is high school homecoming royalty.

We're voting for the person who is going to preside over a seriously damaged country. You must vote for someone you can trust to do the right thing.

My opposition to Hillary is not only due to her closeness to the Republicans but also because I don't see her as capable of making the kinds of bold moves (a la FDR) that will be needed to prevent this country from heading off a cliff at 60mphh. She'll just slow down the process of heading toward the cliff to about 40mph.

I want someone who will turn left to avoid the cliff entirely.

22. Right You Are
Lets put our best candidate in the general election against the republicans.

Finding the best candidate will require though and careful consideration.

Striking out in rage because we don't like a person is not thinking and will only produce worn, fatigue candidate.

I want to see a fresh, smart, confident Democrat nominee that will take it to the republicans and win.

21. Because he answers questions,
He has a plan and is a man of action. Hillary borrows from him and gains 5 points. I disagree on the bankruptcy bill but other than that. he is Flat out the best for America. Domestically, internationally.

23. Fun
I don’t like her mandatory Health insurance plan.

So you don't like Edward's either.

I don’t like her stand on keeping troops in Iraq.

So you don't like Edward's and Obama's either.

I don’t like her vote about Iran’s Army. (non-binding or whatever, it makes it more difficult to deal with them.)

Yeah, because God forbid we take a harsh non-violent but non-binding measure with them.

I don’t like the idea of a Clinton retread.

The idea of another 8 years of peace and security is oddly appealing to me.

( I used to joke that she was the brain behind president Clinton. Now that idea diminishes his Presidency. I dropped it then, I refuse to diminish it now. )

Uh... so you joked about a rightwing talking point then. But now you realize it diminishes his presidency, so you're serious about it?

Just because everybody blindly likes her? I think not!

WAIT! People on DU say NO ONE likes her! I'm confused.

She avoids difficult questions.

1. As do most politicians
2. I suspect you don't like the answers.

Her policies change with the latest poll.

As opposed to Bush who clings to unpopular positions regardless of public opinion?

Somehow, I just can’t bring myself to trust her. I know I am not alone. As well as everyone of the U’s I talk to feel the same way, “She is no different than the rest of them, business as usual. Everyone fall lockstep in her support.” However of those U’s only two of them even consider voting for her. When pressed neither say they would.

But you just said above that everyone blindly likes her... oh, never mind!

She will lose the GE.

Says who?
