1. Bizzare
Since when did the Democratic Party become the home of Neo-Pacifism? Which Democratic President ruled out war in all circumstances, even if the United States was not directly threatened? Truman perhaps?

3. Since When Do Democrats Go To War With Unthreatning Countries?
Hell, even Eisenhower - a Republican - knew that this was utterly fucked:

"All of us have heard this term 'preventative war' since the earliest days of Hitler. I recall that is about the first time I heard it. In this day and time... I don't believe there is such a thing; and, frankly, I wouldn't even listen to anyone seriously that came in and talked about such a thing." - Dwight D. Eisenhower

But Clinton, Edwards, and the rest of that crowd knew better, eh? Such brilliance.

8. It Was Absurd Then, And Has Always Been Absurd
I guess it's too much to ask for a Democrat to skip one of Sir Rupert's fundraisers to read a history book - or even to read the intelligence reports on Iraq before voting for WAR, WAR, GLORIOUS WAR!!! Far more fun to just make crap up, and say Bush made 'em do it.

6. This poll is whether Hillary is against "WAR"
Not the Iraq war, or even WWIII, but war in general. Only one option squarely relates to Iraq. It is on a fair reading, a poll about Pacifism.

4. You're speaking as if pacifism is a bad thing.
I expect the president to be pacifist except in the face of a immediate direct threat. War should never be a part of a "foriegn policy" War is not some thing to feel special and patriotic about. War is hell.

9. Pacifism is bankrupt
as a national policy, but an admirable and honorable course for an individual to take in good conscience. My point is that Pacifism is not and has not been the policy of the Democratic Party since Woodrow Wilson. That honor lies elsewhere.

10. ANd you see how good the policy has done.
Korean War

Iraq War

Vietnam War

What good have they done? I think the policy of intervention is horrible and pacifism is a better way.

11. Bosnia? Ruwanda?
No, sometimes you can not sit back and watch genocide as entertainment.

12. Thats when a direct genocide was happening.
In North Korea we stayed there many year during a stalement

In Vietnam, we killed the civilians instead of the communist party

In Iraq, its Vietnam all over

Theres a difference between ending a genocide currently in progress when you ahve the resourses to do it, than staying in Iraq for 4 years for God knows what reasons.

13. Yes - and thats my problem with this poll
It's not framed about the Iraq war, or any war in particular, it's just war. I am not defending in anyway Iraq, let alone Vietnam.

15. If Wilson was a pacifist, he had a funny way of showing it
Occupied Vera Cruz and sent Pershing's Punative Expedition into Mexico

Occupied Haiti

And then there was that World War thing

18. Hillary Is A Chief Architect of Poll-Driven Politics
And some of her most cynical cronies (ie most trusted advisors) are pollsters.

Triangulation is largely a form of playing chess with polls.

7. Your next president will be the Goddess of Peace
and she'll be the star of the next generation of Coke peace commercials when she makes the world a better place.

Hillary will buy the world a home and furnish it with love...so try and keep all the pouting to a minimum if possible. yeah
