61. I wanted to revere him for stepping in to run in place of Paul Wellstone.
Now, by his support of Sen. Clinton, I know he is a hawk. But maybe he doesn't know he's a hawk - yet.

everything and we'd better get used to having less and less and not being able to solve our problems. No wonder Reagen creamed him!

And he was living in a gated community in Minnesota in 1980! Real Democratic values, there!

9. I Think That's Called An Ad Hominem Attack
An Ad Hominem is a general category of fallacies in which a claim or argument is rejected on the basis of some irrelevant fact about the author of or the person presenting the claim or argument. Typically, this fallacy involves two steps. First, an attack against the character of person making the claim, her circumstances, or her actions is made (or the character, circumstances, or actions of the person reporting the claim). Second, this attack is taken to be evidence against the claim or argument the person in question is making (or presenting). This type of "argument" has the following form:

1 Person A makes claim X.
2 Person B makes an attack on person A.
3 Therefore A's claim is false.

Military man, historian, and author of a book or two I have read...

In fact, for the first time in 2004 he endorsed a Democrat citing George Bush as the reason...

So yeah, having Eisenhower's son's endorsement would be nice get for any of the candidates...

manner and means to remain powerful.

Some would call it shunning. The Message is you are of no
social status if you are not a Republican.

I certainly know nothing about this case. I will always
wonder. What if the kid had worn a GOP Candidate TShirt.

Dr. Dean can tell you stories about this .

Edited on Thu Oct-11-07 10:44 PM by Jim4Wes
is that both Wellstone and Hillary would have agreed on much. Secondly, I do not accept that she is a war hawk. I do not believe she would have ordered the invasion of Iraq if she was President at that time. Nor do I think she believed Bush was inevitably going to invade. Since it cannot be proved either way, it must be tossed out as a factual argument, and you must support your war hawk claim with some other evidence.

I know your guy Wes Clark has endorsed hillary so I hope ya'll are very happy supporting the corporate candidate. May her steamrolling come to a screeching halt somewhere along the way before she makes it to the General.
