By giving all the money away Mr. Gore crosses the T's and dots the I's
I just wrote an impassioned plea to Al Gore to please run for President, even though I believe firmly that nobody in their right mind would want the task of scraping off the stinking heaps of elephant dung from our collective heads. All the while being subjected to scrutiny and vilification by those who dumped it.

But I can’t be alone in making a comparison between Mr. Gore giving away all the money to the cause of our survival on the planet, and our mega rich despot of a global warming denying President thinking he might “fill the coffers” and continue to screw the people with speeches after he leaves office.

I hope for Gore as Forty Four, and I
pray for the day when the idiot despot Forty Three gives an expensive speech and nobody comes.

1. Al doesn't need the money
He's pretty well-off. So he gave it to the cause that means the most to him.

2. There are plenty of well-off people who would have kept the money
Far more than the number who would do as Gore has.

3. GW Bush doesn't need the money either. That doesn't stop him from wanting more of it.
He and his kind—like his charming mother, who made a donation to a cause (Katrina, was it?) with the proviso that the money go to an organization son Marvin controlled—will never be well-off-enough in their view. They are the cause that means the most to them.

5. LOL! I must've been unclear in my point, which actually was just that.
