Rasmussen: Hillary hits her highest level of support so far in Daily tracking poll...

In the race for the Democratic Presidential Nomination. Clinton attracts 48% support, her highest total of the year. New data released today also shows Clinton with her biggest lead of the year over Republican frontrunners Rudy Giuliani and Fred Thompson.

Barack Obama, at 24%, has half the support that Clinton enjoys. John Edwards, at 12%, has half the support earned by Obama. Dennis Kucinich, at 4%, is the only other candidate who attracts more than 3% support from Likely Democratic Primary Voters (see recent daily numbers).

10. really?
you think on-line polls are reliable?

The REAL polls show him at about 12% when he's listed as a candidate.

12. Yes real polls
it's a science. The real polls show Gore at 12%.

You really want to quote online polls and then rag about the unreliability of scientific polls? How funny.

7. the biggest unreality
is pairing her highwater mark with Guiliani, whose lead is rationally unsustainable. Nor is the fall of either tied to the other, though Guiliani is much more likely to collapse precipitously. The most unreal thing for me is this match up aspect. It sounds insultingly weird, merging two vastly different universes and tying the Dems unnecessarily at this point to the pack of GOP stooges looking for favor from on high. I think Hillary's numbers are more real and more reality based on actual chances to gain the party nomination. No, what I resent is the equal legitimacy given to the GOP puppet show on the media seesaw circuit. When media polling frames caution among Dems the apples and oranges mix protects the image of the much more vacuous support the GOP rank and file have for all of their choices. Naturally the GOP loyalist prefers a generic real choice, but they may not get even that and woe betide their nominee when dissatisfaction finally settles in.

(Disclaimer of candidate partisanship. Nothing in this particular comment has anything negative at all to say about Hillary's candidacy.)

9. Some polling does demostrate that
"protects the image of the much more vacuous support the GOP rank and file have for all of their choices. Naturally the GOP loyalist prefers a generic real choice, but they may not get even that and woe betide their nominee when dissatisfaction finally settles in."

Undecideds/other/won't vote is almost always at least double digits and sometimes 20+.
