I did not want to push this man into the campaign. If he'd wanted to run he would have done so already. But more and more I'm beginning to think we really need this man. After winning the Nobel Prize, an Emmy, best picture and many other awards, lest we forget his books, he's accomplished a great deal. He's certainly made all of us aware of global warming. He's had an extensive history in politics. He knows how the system works and is thick skinned enough to deal with it. Can you just imagine Kucinich or Edwards as his running mate? I think the Clinton's would understand because they very much know how the system works too. Even Hillary must see that this country is calling on him. The US population has become more aware politically than they were in 2000 we could stand behind him and participate. I know the importance of being aware and involved since reading his "Assault on Reason".
By drafting Gore it mostly gives us back something we haven't had in a long time - HOPE. Maybe we really can have a future.
So today I signed the Draft Gore petition.
- and I don't feel pushy.
