Coult*r’s Clinton comments unusually ludicrous
by DP - Opinion on October 15, 2007

The comment by that caricature of a commentator, Ann Coulter, that Hillary Clinton should be stopped by denying women the right to vote makes Coulter seem more ludicrous than usual. I take it she includes Republican women in that insult to all women. I imagine Republican women revere their right to vote every bit as much as Democratic women. It’s very doubtful that any of them would, as Coulter says, “take a hit for the cause.”

The mere act of running for the Democratic nomination for president reveals how courageous Hillary Clinton is. And if she is nominated, the current verbal acidity will seem like a light slap on the wrist compared to the “slings and arrows of outrageous mudslingers” that will follow. I, for one, cringe at the thought of the TV tirades to come.

Whether or not Mrs. Clinton is the Democratic nominee, we voters need to watch and listen carefully to all of the candidates of both parties and ignore those inevitable down and dirty campaign TV spots.

After all, we don’t want to make the same mistake we made in 2000 and 2004.

1. Coulter is a one trick pony
If you will notice most if not all of the outrageous comments Coulter makes correspond with the release of her newest book. Her trick is to make a few obnoxious comments to get even more free advertising for her new book. She is hoping for the media to make comments such as 'Ann Coulter, who has just released a new book titled 'blah blah blah', has made another obnoxious statement.' Personally I think Coulter should be ignored as she has nothing to add to the public discussion.
