Obama launches 'Embrace the Change' gospel tour

In what is perhaps the most obvious effort yet by Sen. Barack Obama to invoke religion in his Democratic presidential bid, his campaign said this afternoon that it is launching an “Embrace the Change” gospel tour later this month.

The campaign said some of the nation's top gospel music artists will tour South Carolina, where Obama is in a battle with Sen. Hillary Clinton of New York, especially for the support of African-American women, a group that could decide the primary there.

5. Something about this rubs me the wrong way.

I don't mind Obama trying to reframe issue like global warming in quasi-religious terms...but something about this doesn't sit well with me. Why not a Buddist tour?

7. When is Obama going to make an appearance in Congress?

He's already missed (been absent for) 97+ Votes and counting. And just about every one of his votes for his first 18 mos as Senator is identical to Hillarys'... How can someone be "PROGRESSIVE", when they were formerly a rated a Populist...and they hardly show up on the Job?

Do I need a Pro Obama site like Kos giving me an Obama vs Hillary rating? When there are impartial sites in existence for just that purpose. Like here: http://www.govtrack.us/congress/person.xpd?id=400629

As far as his job rating...he is rated "POOR"against his peers, under the Voting Record section in the provided link.
