Another Reason for Turkish Anger
It seems to me that most of the blame for Turkey considering invading Northern Iraq is being put on the resolution sponsored by Nancy Pelosi. However, I just learned that there may be and is most likely another reason for the problem with Turkey and Northern Iraq. According to a video cast on Current TV, done by Laura Ling, a group known as the PKK has been launching attacks on Turkey from Northern Iraq. This has lead some in Turkey to consider taking action aganist Northern Iraq. For anyone who would like to see the whole video cast the link is below.

1. The PKK is a terrorist organization that has been slipping into Turkey
killing Turkish civilians for some time now

The U.S. indicated they would control it, but the irony is that weapons they give to the Kurds end up in the PKK's hands

Turkey is doing what any country would do if their civilians were being attacked. Actually, they have restrained quite a lot up to now

This was a direct result of our invasion of Iraq

As far as the resolution recognizing the Armenian genocide, the timeing couldn't be worst.

It doesn't reflect much intelligence on our leadership

2. According to NPR, the PKK has been doing this for the last 22 years.
Also, Saddam would look the other way when Turkey made several raids into northern Iraq. So this is nothing new only that this will be the first raid Turkey has made since the US invasion. This Armenian issue is just gas on the fire; great way to build international ties. Oh, and according to Wiki, the PKK is on the International (and US) Terrorist List.
