Danger Will Robinson! Bush Is At It.
Edited on Wed Oct-17-07 07:03 PM by nightrider767
Just got through watching the evening news with Bush personally escorting the Dalai Lama in to get his medal. It was Bush at his unfaltering, make a decision and stay the course best. No hesitation, brutal support. The Chinese where screaming bloody murder.

And I thought to myself, "Self, ya know you have to admit, that on this day, and this day only probably, I like George Bush".

OK,,, so in no short time a sense of nausia swept over me and my rational mind stepped in. This is creepy. Bush never does anything nice for moral reasons. ANd every time he's taken a big stand, there was some buddy of his standing to make a buck.

I really have to wonder what's his "angle" here. The Chinese people's Congress is currently in session this week. It meets every five years. This whole event seemed taylor made to madden them. I know they were gonna take some measures to cool down the Chinese stock market. It's been red hot, too hot. Lot's of people here have made a fortune off of Chinese stocks lately, including Warren Buffet.

I wonder if this has anything to do with that. Or if not that, then what? :dilemma:

1. we just have to hope that being in the presence of
the Dalai Lama, george could not help looking deep within himself. then again, that's got to be a very dark place. yeah, i agree, he was told not to do something, therefor had to do it.

2. I saw posts to the effect that China is dumping dollars,
threatening "nuclear option" re currency. Additionally, I think China is opposed to any U.S. adventures in Iran. This could be some kind of message back to China?

3. Maybe,
I thought of all that, but this would actually bring the wrong results. It must be something else.

But mark my words, something is up.

Two events in one week. Instigating things with both Turkey and now China.

Not to mention the finger in the eye we've given Putin. Last time in what, 20 years?, that he's sent his Bear Bombers into the Atlantic. All very odd.

4. Accidentally heard part of the presser this morning, and * kept using the phrase "religious freedom"
He had very little to say about the Dalai Lama - Tibet - China connections and a great deal to say about the Dalai Lama representing religious freedom.

So I think * may see the D.L. as a parallel with himself -- the unacknowledged leader of fundamentalist Christianity in the western world, striving for the freedom to stuff the Bible down the throat of every public school child and every non-Christian U.S. citizen.

Considering the narcissism and delusions of grandeur, * seems to me to be honoring a fellow he actually pretty much considers as great as himself.

5. Very Interesting
Though I know Bush to be a religious impostor and manipulator. Is it possible that his own hubris has convinced him otherwise?

Very interesting theory.

Just as we helped break up Yugoslavia and the Soviet Union, we want to do the same to China. The Communist Party of China is trying to move back toward more socialist policies now that it has created revenue with foreign companies. Recently they passed sweeping new labor laws that big business was howling about, they reinstituted price controls on certain goods, vowed a universal health plan by 2010, and have come down on corporate corruption. The US capitalist class thought that the Chinese gov. would have fallen by now replaced with a capitalist dictator or capitalist parties but this has not happened. I believe that the US gov. is tryign to foment unrest in China...particularly in Tibet. Tibet has been a part of China on and off for thousands of years. The Dali Lama ruled it under a fuedal system. It wasn't some utopian paradise. I am not trying to defend the vast problems with the Chinese leadership...I just think this is more about money, future world power status, and natural resources more than anything.

7. Well that would certainly be a bold move.
Almost too bold. I don't see that we have much sway over China as they are currently funding a good amount of this war. Not to mention the fact that they own so many dollars, that if they flooded the markets, the dollar would tank and in short order, so would we.

COurse on the other hand, without the US, at this point, to buy it's goods, China tanks.

I'll keep my eye in this one. I know it's gonna lead somewhere.

I'm Polish and about half a year before the Iraqi war they got this super sweet f-16 deal from the us. They were gonna a whole squadron of jets, training, parts etc. The whole deal was worth about 5 billion. I thought to myself. Hmm, why Poland?

Well lookie here, who's a big member now of the Coalition of the Willing? Poland. Bought just before the war started.

8. Remember during WWII the bbc use to broadcast code words to
members behind enemy lines. These code words were used to launch covert operations. etc. Was "religious freedom" a code word and who was the receiver?
