I have three predictions for 2008.
1. Bush will start bringing significant numbers of troops home and declare "victory" in Iraq, leaving a simmering, explosive mess over there that will erupt during the next administration.

2. Bush will launch some sort of attack against Iran.

3. Hillary Clinton will win the general election in the landslide.

1. I think when the money runs out, Bush will bring us into Iran.
I don't think he cares about the GOP, so I don't think he even cares about winning. War to him means money. Money that goes to all his family, friends and ex-employers.

I think Hillary will "win" by a landslide even though half the country hates her and the other half is split between not trusting her and blind admiration.

6. I'm in the half that hates her...
thats why I am supporting her. ;)

The other half didn't sound too flattering to be in.

3. I don't see an Iran attack, only because gas would go to $7 overnight
Bush doesn't give a fuck about his party, but he does have some political instincts... enough to know that $7 gas aint gonna play, no matter how you dress it up. Guaranteed recession.

I can see the arguments for the prediction. Maybe after election day. But before election day... I can't see it.

8. A $7 price tag on gas could bring on Americans demanding to steal all their oil.
...That could bring on support for us taking over the whole Middle East.

5. Re: 2 & 3
Bush launches an attack on Iran, thanking Hillary and the Democratic leadership for their support, using the vote on the Iranian Revolutionary Guard as cover for the attack.

Hillary is unable to explain WHY she voted for that piece of crap resolution, and Romney wins in a landslide.

10. Tucker arlson once said that Bush and his sister will be supporting Romney.
I predict the "08 elections will be Romney vs. Hillary.

11. And just today I saw something about a major fundy endorsing
Romney, saying "We're not electing a pastor, but a president."

The fundies will back a Mormom who shares their values before they'll back a centrist New Yorker with squishy values. (No, not THAT one. I'm talking about Ghouliani.)

9. You are probably right about Bush starting a war in Iran...
...thanks to people like Hillary Clinton who gave him the free pass to do so.

Not bloody likely.
