7. Hey, I knew Sam in college at K-State . . .
The word is that he is dropping out effective Friday. Part of the problem for the wingnuts is that Sam Brownback appeared publicly with Joe Biden to propose a compromise solution in Iraq. While Sam has gotten more conservative in the last 22-23 years, he is not a knee-jerk conservative. He is a hell of a lot more honest than Rudy or Romney. Maybe too honest for the Limbaugh types in the Republican base . . . Don't shoot at an honest honorable real compassionate conservative just because you disagree with him. While Sam is the right of everybody here on DU, he is a good guy.

8. Seeing Sam in some of those forums he almost looks like
