Find your candidate quiz - really neat and sometimes surprising when all put together
http://www.wqad.com/Global/link.asp?L=259460

This is a quiz from WQMD News that a friend of mine sent to me earlier today. You answer brief questions about your opinion on major issues such as Iraq, abortion, etc. When completed, it gives you a sheet showing how every announced candidate matches your opinions and rates them with a score based on whether you said that issue is very important, etc.

I recommend every DUer take it, if only to realize how close a few candidates (Dems of course) are on our issues.

1. That is pretty neat
I just took it and Dodd was my #1, with Obama, Hillary.....All of the Pubs were on the bottom.

This is how we should vote. By the issues, not the names of candidates.

2. I got a 51 for Dennis Kucinich at the top, vs.
a 3 for McCain and Huckabee at the bottom.

3. I know their positions - and still only half-way like Kucinich - the
rest I find very lacking.

4. I've taken a couple of these quizzes, and the problem is that they
aren't set up to tackle the number of issues involved nor the finer points of the issues. I came out with the same score for Obama and Clinton, and they were within two points of Edwards and Gravel! The other aspect these quizzes miss is the character of the candidates. Nixon had a secret plan to end the war in Viet Nam, but that didn't make me vote for Nixon!

7. Edwards 53
Followed by:
Dodd
Kucinich
Obama
Clinton
Richardson
Gravel
Biden
Guiliani
Romney
Paul
Huckabee
McCain
etc, etc
With Thompson at the bottom with a whopping 3, lol. And I apparently agree with him on an issue that I haven't researched and don't give a shit about. Nice.

8. Argh... couldn't get past the immigration question.
None of those positions match what I think. Bleh.
