ALSO: If you can, remind whoever it is that bush IS INDEED amused by people getting killed. Just consider one Karla Faye Tucker, whom he, as governor of Texas, publicly MOCKED when she'd turned her life around and begged for a reprieve from Death Row.

15. I CALLED THIS MORNING AND SPOKE TO A LOVELY LADY..

and i told her if i could i would love to plant a big kiss on Pete!!

i said i have an national internet group and i woke up to 300 emails cheering Pete on!! That dems all over the country were so happy about his statements..

and i said again i would love to kiss Pete Stark.( i said giggling) right smack on the lips!!!!..and i also said on democratic underground there were many many supportive posts about his statements..that today dems were happy one of our own had the guts to speak the truth!!

The lady was so happy about my call..she thanked me many times for my call..and i told her i used to live in LA and i have met Pete when i worked in the Dem party out there..and she said..well please come move back to district 13...she was so sweet..

and she promised me she would get my message to Pete.

23. OK, I finally got through to the D.C. office.

I told them I appreciated Rep. Stark's guts for standing up and speaking the truth - a truth people needed to hear. And I told them to tell him NOT to back down - if people are upset, it should be with the reality of the situation, not the words someone uses to correctly describe it.

The girl answering the phone almost sounded choked up, and she said she would make sure he got the message and thanked me for taking the time to call.

So, call people. Stark and his staff need to know there is a lot more support for him than there are people against him!
