Easy way to build party unity ! ( every one can do it!)
Wear a blue shirt on fridays for the democrats in'08!
From now until election day.
I'm starting this friday.

Weary of the sharpness of the primary season?
Wear a blue shirt on Fridays for the Democrats in'08!
Want to do something to let your feelings be known and to identify fellow travelers??
Wear a blue shirt on Fridays from now 'till election day!
Its a nice passive agressive message to the world .
Just do it.
Don't make too big a deal about it.
But do it.
Tell like minded friends and relatives.
Wear a blue shirt on Fridays for the democrats in '08!

Want to build party unity despite any primary distances?
No matter which candidate you support.
Here's a painless way.
Wear a blue shirt this Friday and every Friday from now 'till election day!

And keep your eyes open for fellow travelers.

Any ideas on how to get this idea out to a wider audience would be much appreciated.

1. perhaps unity isn't a real goal
perhaps all the threads calling for an end to the circular firing squad are overblown.

Not even any snarky responses telling me its a stupid idea.

I have reached out to many others with this.(state and local party, jon stewart, stephen colbert, jimmy kimmel, jay leno and david letterman)

For now most here at DU will remain Clinton dems or Obama dems or Edwards dems.

I will not be deterred.

2. It's not that no one cares
It's just that quite frankly it's a silly idea. I wear blue shirts like 2-3 days a week. Who would notice if I did such on Fridays? It accomplishes nothing. And no one responded because it isn't worth discussion but no one wants to hurt your feelings. Democrats (real ones) are funny that way.
