1. He's seeking to pry black voters away from Clinton in SC

The faith out-reach stuff is not entirely GE oriented.

That said, it's a divisive strategy any way you look at it.

3. No, it's not a bad strategy to reach during a primary
It can give the appearance of staying above the primary fray. It's what Hillary is doing. Obama's problem is that his campaign sucks. It based on so little

1) New politics, fresh blood, outsider, etc - It doesn't really work to campaign as an outsider, particularly during times of fear mongering.

2) Anti-war - His record doesn't support the image of Obama as anti-war

3) Ethics, campaign reform, etc - Now here's something that could really strengthen him, yet it appears to be the one he uses least

While each of these 3 do help his campaign, they are not sufficient to win a campaign on at this level. In addition, Obama's record on these issues, while better than most, do not make him stand out on these issues. He needs an issue that really makes him stand out from the others

4. That door swings both ways.
Hillary voting "yes" on Kyl-Lieberman was also a "GE tactic."

Your point again?
