5. Which is why I don't want him for president.
The man does not compromise. Which is wonderful in him because I agree with his principles...but a president who will not compromise is what we've had for the last seven years.

You cannot run a nation and never get dirty. It's a recipe for disaster to pretend you can.

16. So you prefer a corrupt president.
No wonder this country is where it is today.

Compromise is finding common ground and working on common goals.

It is not giving up ground that isn't held in common.

It isn't abdicating leadership on issues, it doesn't require a lack of integrity, and it isn't caving under pressure.

10. Not So Much Bought Off as Threatened
Some are being blackmailed, either by Bush**'s people or AIPAC
(we can reasonably assume both have access to NSA raw intercepts).

The rest fall into line when threatened with another Reichstag Fire which would be
the pretext to invoke all those executive orders allowing Bush**ler to rule by decree.

17. Pat Leahy, Bernie Sanders and Peter Welch
90% of Leahy's donors are individuals and not PACs or industry related. As far as personal wealth goes- well he doesn't really have any; he's ranked 95th in the Senate. Very little money from the defense industry, and that's largely local, a matter of a few thousand bucks. As far as I know, he takes no AIPAC related funds, and he doesn't take PAC money as a matter of policy

Bernie: 77% of contributions from individuals. Most PAC money from labor. He's not ranked yet as far as personal wealth, but he's in the same league as Pat.

Peter Welch: As clean as Bernie and Pat, and another guy who hasn't gotten rich at the trough.
