Does anybody else find it odd that McClurkin would do a tour with Obama?

Does anybody else find it odd that McClurkin would do a tour with Obama?
McClurkin spoke at the Republican National Convention and has been a very strong Bush supporter. Why would he suddenly go on tour with a Democrat? Is it possible that Obama promised/gave him something, in return for McClurkin's help courting RW voters?

1. Seems he is a friend of Oprah
And Oprah is a supporter of Obama.

Makes as much sense as anything at this point.

Hearing Oprah yell, 'Donnie McClurkin!, the way she does with one of her over-hyped guests.
This morning I googled it and sure enough, he is one of her peeps.
