Mike Huckabee: Illegal Immigrants are Taking Jobs away from Aborted Fetuses...
And this is the new up and comer on the Republican side?

Sometimes we talk about why we're importing so many people in our workforce. It might be for the last 35 years, we have aborted more than a million people who would have been in our workforce had we not had the holocaust of liberalized abortion under a flawed Supreme Court ruling in 1973.

One of many very strange things this guy has said over the years...

1. Dang, I heard him on an NPR interview a few weeks ago . . .
And he sounded relatively sane compared to the rest of the 'Lican presidential crowd.

Another disappointment in a life full of disappointment.

2. Those fetuses, just like flag waving, patriotic conservatives
would have ended up in the fields harvesting lettuce and onions. And wacky liberals say Americans won't do those jobs.

Hey huckleberry, we are "importing" those people because the republican party base is too fucking lazy to do the job that immigrants do. Love those fetuses but hate immigrants. I need a score card to understand conservative values.

4. I heard something similar once -- over Thanksgiving dinner, no less...
"Just think if the '45 million' aborted babies were paying in to Social Security!" I kept my head down, ate my sweet potaters, and gave thanks that that was from a family member by marriage only.

5. I'll try to tally up the nutty/stupid/scary things he's said:
Edited on Tue Oct-23-07 04:09 PM by wienerdoggie
1) Concentration-camp weight loss joke
2) Razor blade-bathtub-suicide joke
3) Hillary Clinton should get "her lips off of Soros' butt" and instead praise General Petraeus, so that he cooperates with her as Commander in Chief.
4) Michael-Vick-at-Westminster-dog-show joke (although Hucky's son was charged with torturing a dog and slitting its throat)
5) Heaven will be full of guns and duck hunting (pandering to NRA)
6) Inner-city gang kids should carry weapons to lessen violence
7) "I would have to weigh the Constitution against my conscience" during Repub debate.
8) Even if Congress tells him no, he would take military action against Iran anyway if he thought it best.
9) Asked about shirtless Putin photo, said he'd rather see a shirtless Scarlett Johannson (very Presidential, Mike--make sure they know you're not a homo!).
10) Corn subsidies are vital for national security
11) "If science and God are in conflict, I'll stick with God
12) Gays marrying is one step away from marrying your children or your dog.

There's more, I just can't remember them all. This man is as stupid as GWB--maybe stupider, because Chimpy is a more careful politician.

7. Here's another one
The former Arkansas governor, exaggerating, said other GOP presidential hopefuls were raising $100 for every nickel he had raised. "If I were some of these guys, I'd have to be sitting in a warm tub of water with razor blades," Huckabee said on MSNBC-TV.

When a leading Presidential candidate uses suicide and specifically
means to do it as a joke, it is grossly irresponsible and is a
disgrace. It also must be met with an immediate rebuke from the mental
health community. This is no joking matter. Lives are at stake.

Galileo and all the other early scientists who were demonized or ridiculed for their findings not matching up with God's findings--Medieval Mike for President!

On edit--most disturbing to me are number 7 and 8. A direct indicator of how he'd govern.

6. Offshoring
So let me get this straight. If those "millions" of children had been born, corporations would not be sending jobs to India and China? Oh, yeah, if we had millions more in our population I suppose then the minimum wage could be eliminated and we could pay OUR citizens $1/hour?????

What logic.
