We will beat the Rethuglicans and show America and the world the low down, lying, and dirty dogs that they are...

1. we will win, then our Dems in congress will let bygones be bygones and sleeping dogs lie
They will declare it is backward looking to do anything else, and they are all about solving the problems and moving forward.

bushco will get a free pass from congress.

:grr:

3. My Hopes
Edited on Wed Oct-24-07 11:26 AM by DemocratSinceBirth
1) That we can get out of Iraq without harming more of them than we have... We have killed nearly a million* and displaced two million...

2) Everybody that needs health care gets it...

3) America's image is restored in the world...

4) The number of Americans living below the poverty line is reduced...

5) Justices are appointed to the Supreme Court who respect the right to privacy...

*the number of people killed is in dispute but I don't see anybody disputing the two million displaced figure...

5. 2006 was the beginning.
People seem to have forgotten how well we did in '06. No lost incumbent seats. Pickups in nearly every level of government.

Although many would beg to differ, there is little reason to believe that '08 won't be a continuation of the trend.

In fact I was crucified here by some for my Cassandra like predictions... I am much more bullish today...

I should have qualified my post by acknowledging things could change...

14. I have to break it to you
If Pelosi and Reed do not get some intestinal fortitude, all will be lost. Joe (D) Voter will become disillusioned. and all the buck toothed rightie nutjobs will, (mark my words) turn out to vote against Hillary or my guy or any body we put up as our nominee. using your crystal ball to garner votes (for Hillary)is futile.
