Poll question: Who would have a greater "Coattail effect" in November '08
We have small control of both houses of congress. There are alot of Repukes giving up their seats in the House as well as several historically swinf districts which are trending Democrat. In addition, a good portion of the Freshman class won with less than 55% of the popular vote in thos districts.

At the same time, there are alot more vulnerable GOP seats in the Senate and more seats are always a good thing when it comes to Fillibusters, Courtn nominations and overrding vetoes. So it begs the question... which of our three leading candidates would be most beneficial to gaining greater majorities in both houses.

2. I have to say Clinton, because that's a two-fer. You get two politiicians with
a national footprint, and twice the coverage. Spouses are fine to help with these kinds of things, but unless they are in political life themselves, they aren't 'center stage' on the issues like political principals are.
