1. I would think it would be more problemattic that McClaine told all the rest of us
That Kucinich told her he saw a UFO.

during a Presidential campaign?

8. She has always made the most extraordinary claims
I was unfortunate enough to sit through "Out on a Limb" with my dad, he was one of her big fans.

15. Do you mean the bill where
legal immigrant kids were kicked to the curb in an attempt to get a veto-proof majority, which failed? Do you mean the House version which had the kids and Dennis voted for it? Do you mean the override attempt where Dennis voted for it?

The annoyingly stupid thing about SCHIP is that the leadership was willing to kick those kids to the curb when they didn't have guarantees for the veto-proof majority. Dennis showed us that they had kicked the kids to the curb w/o having a veto-proof majority. If you're going to be mad at anybody for that, be mad at the fucking worthless leadership.

Go Dennis! :woohoo:

19. The perfect is the enemy of the good.
We are living under george bush's regime. i don't know about you, but i'd prefer to have that bill which actually had a chance of passing and possibly overriding bush (even though that didn't pan out), to one that wouldn't even pass through congress.

20. But in the end...
the "good" didn't pass. Too bad for the kids, particularly the ones the leadership felt were worth kicking to the curb.

That's infinite woo-woo crazy.

On edit: Shirley is not a source I would trust further than I could spit a rat. I am surprised Kucinich hasn't issued a denial though.

18. Jimmy Carter had the good sense to wait until he was no longer
President before saying he had seen UFOs. You can't say things like that if you want high office in this country. The power forces won't allow it.

You former Rethugs are hopeless. You get pissed off at your own party and decide to come over and infect ours.
Pathetic.

29. You admitted to doing push polls for Rethugs
May as well have been one if you were working for them.
And being a Lieberman supporter is nothing to be proud of either. That's worse than being a Naderite.

33. Link?
I was not working for the Republican Party. You should maybe just go find the link at this point.

I was not much of a Lieberman supporter either. I thought the Lamont run would probably be a waste of money given his high approval rating in the state and the fact that Lamont supporters were pitching Lieberman as a Republican to Republicans for free, but I don't think I ever said Lieberman was better than Lamont.

40. Here is another one: I was a push-poller for Republicans in 1994.

I hated it, but I didn't have time to look for another job when the survey firm I worked for started giving us that work, and it was $6.50 an hour, plus I could work 3pm-9pm. It was a summer job when I was 19.

So any time you want to sidestep the actual subject in one of my threads, you can just bring this one up.

Actually, I remember one of the candidates we were working against was Zell Miller, and one of the Republicans (might have been that same race) was a liberal, so maybe this dirt isn't as good as it could be. But hey, you can have it for free.

26. I wish someone would explain to me why I am not "allowed" to put down Kucinich.
It would be one thing if people were telling me that the thing about the UFO was just a rumor, but there seems to be this attitude that I shouldn't even touch him when he is running against seven other candidates which anyone could be supporting.

31. None of the above. He jumped the shark
when he decided that a Dept of Peace is part of his agenda. Stupid. Naive.

Just read his site's description of the Dept of peace, and see if you think he's ready to be POTUS.

35. I think Kucinich is naive in the extreme.
The world is a dangerous place, and a lot of people in power don't want peace - they want more power. A Dept of Peace has NOTHING WHATSOEVER with achieving peace.
