support Jay Nixon for Governor
http://www.nixonforgovernor.com/

Or at least, oppose Matt Blunt, whose ad is currently gracing the top of DU.

Sorta odd that the Democratic candidate is named NIXON. :wtf:

And Jay too. Sorta reminds me of John Jay, one of the infamous 19th century robber barons.

I welcome contributions to this thread from Missourians who can tell us how and why Matt Blunt sucks.

1. please keep this kicked
as long as the Blunt ad is up there.

Maybe kick it whenever you light another blunt. :smoke:

Also, does it cost the Blunt campaign whenever we click on his ad?

2. whoops, now the Blunt ad is already gone
Was it ever really there?

Never mind then, as I slink off to bed finally.

Now it says "Genius rocket primary"

As if one of those could ever keep up with an hfojvt rocket. :P "This one goes to 11."

3. OMG, where to start with Blunt
The man has cut Medicare, dismantled out student loan system, neglected our infrastructure, on and on. Yes, our state is suffering from Blunt trauma. I seriously doubt that he will get another term, though if Hillary gets the nod, that just might bring out enough conservatives from the backwoods to put him back into the office.

Nixon is a good guy, has been AG forever and frankly I think he was overdue in running for the governor's spot. He should have run in 2000 or 2004 and we wouldn't have had blunt.

4. I believe Nixon is well liked in MO, as he has been a strong
consumer advocate. He started the NO CALL list in MO, and everyone loves that. Every time he is in the news it is nearly always positive press about him doing something else for the little guy. The one thing he hasn't had to do while Atty. General here is campaign. He wins handily without getting out and doing a lot of campaigning. He MUST do that to win for Governor--even though Blunt has been a disaster. Blunt is doing everything he can as of late to redeem himself, and people have such short memories. Also, it depends on what right-wing issue is put on the ballot. They always put something up, like stem cell, etc. to bring out the wing-nuts, and heaven knows we have so many of those in MO.
