...after her name. Any progressive who plans to do anything that would remotely increase the chances of another Publican administration is a fool, in my ever-so-humble opinion. I'm tired of trying to defend Hillary to people who refuse to see that, but so be it.

62. Ah, crap.
To build a more tolerant, united America, working to achieve big goals again, with a President who's Ready for Change and Ready to Lead from day one.

In other words because of nonsense rhetoric which makes no specific statements about what we want. Let me break this down:

1) To build a more tolerant, united America (these are individual behaviors which a president cannot control)
2) working to achieve big goals again (vaguely defined "goals" with no binding commitment to acheive anything)
3) Ready for Change and Ready to Lead™ (All in caps, a pre-packed product name with no specific commitments)

C'mon, couldn't you actually ASK for something people?

will be abundantly superior than anyone that any of the pubbie candidates would nominate.

Federal judges serve until they die, decide to pursue more lucrative employment or are impeached.

72. I don't want to vote for her for any reason.
But unfortunately there will be no real choice in the matter. As bad as she is, all the Republicans are worse and no third party candidate has a shot at winning.

77. I selected the last choice....
because it is closest to "All of the Above".

I want a competent President who I can trust. I may get slammed for using the word trust but I really do believe that Hillary Clinton is going to take care of the issues that are important to me in a way that will satisfy me.

The same polls Hillary lovers flog constantly showing her to be the annointed one also point to Dems winning even larger majorities in both the House and the Senate (despite their complete lack of accomplishments), making any republican president elected a complete fifth wheel. But she'll end the war and a republican won't, you say? Not when she refuses to get out until 2013...

In other words, yes, unless someone of epic loathsomeness gets the Republican nomination AND it's a dead heat going into November 2nd, I'd withhold my vote. I held my nose and wasted my vote on John Kerry in 2004 (whom I would actually prefer to Hillary), and I am in no hurry to repeat that. Additionally, I would like it if we could manage to nominate someone who isn't related to a previous president. Did I go to sleep and wake up in some alternate universe where Hamilton shot Aaron Burr instead?

...I think I'd better stop 1) before I precipitate a huge flamewar 2) before I make any other extremely geeky references to alternate history. x_x

The upshot is that, barring an extremely likely set of circumstances, I am not willing to give Hillary Clinton my vote, and apparently neither are a lot of other people. This IS relevant to the primary process, because "BUT OMG REPUBLICANS" isn't going to be enough to keep people voting for someone they can't stand forever (given abysmal voter turnout, we may already be there). We may as well break the habit now and nominate someone that isn't persona non grata even with a substantial fraction of her own party.

98. p.s.
polls like this, just the headline, even, make me want to throw up in my mouth a little bit.

why can't Hillary supporters acknowledge that she is the most divisive candidate on the demo slate? bring people together? surely you're joking. that is one reason that you surely know is total b.s. when members of the democratic party don't even want to have to vote for her.

107. The Kyl-Lieberman ammendment will have no effect on whether or not GWB bombs Iran.
I think it's naive to think a no vote on that ammendment would prevent the administration from launching airstrikes at some point.

or opposes the bombing of Iran.
